Scheduling gives program managers, project managers and project participants a single system to coordinate people and their activities as pertains to projects.A template, designed for MIT projects, is provided project tasks.
Schedules typically follow this general path:
- The e-Builder admin, when creating the project in e-Builder, applies an MIT-specific template to the project schedule to promote consistency at the highest schedule/task "level" and to ease of use
...
- .
- Schedule/Project managers update tasks within the new schedule by adjusting dates and/or adding new subtasks .
- The status of the schedule is changed from Draft to Active.
- A baseline is saved.
- A snapshot of the baseline is saved.
- Resources update their progress for individual tasks.
- Schedule/Project Managers approve changes as required and continually update the schedule as needed.
The template accounts for the follow high level schedule tasks:
- Design
- Scoping
