The The VLBI Signal Chain had the Sight Acceptance Review (SAR) and continued evaluating the entire VLBI system (antenna, field system, signal chain, etc). K2 observed with the VGT001 (see below) and presently resolving an issue with air condioner failure in the pedestal and impact on continued observing. The operational readiness review (ORR) is still projected to be executed in August.

The observations for the commissioning phase of the 12m has been completed, ending with three 24 hour observing sessions between K2, Wf, and Gs.

TChe data are being correlated and analyzed. We are working toward the VLBI Operation Readiness Review (ORR) now scheduled for August, which means release of final documentation, software and procedures.

Wettzell, Yebes and KPGO Broadband Fringe Testing
The first observation for the IVS VGT001 between Westford (Wf), Wettzell South (Ws), Yebes (Yj) and KPGO (K2) July 7 and 8th was completed with fringes detected between all sites. A few operational limitations (equipment) and errors resulted in not being able to detect all four bands for the 4 stations. The fringes detected between Ws (4 bands), Yj (1 band) and K2 pushed the baseline out into the Pacific.
1. GGAO did not participate due to frontend problems that have been resolved.
2. For the DBBC2, Gino provided firmware to correct the time tagging or low amplitude in center channel problems we've seen in the previous tests, and it worked great.
3. VGT002 is scheduled for 7/28 and will include Gs, Wf, Yj (3 bands) and Ws. K2 is a game time decision and will if any be at a reduced duration.
