Bidding (this section is under development and is not yet complete)
Project Managers and others involved with Bidding will use both Bidding Processes and the Bidding Module to complete their work. Bidding processes are documented in the processes section of this site. Please continue reading here to learn more about the Bidding module, a standard component of e-Builder.
The Bidding module helps manage the processes that users go through to purchase goods and services associated with the development and construction of capital projects by facilitating the exchange of documents, drawings and communications that are part of the bidding process using e-Builders web-based application.
MIT Facilities should benefit from the use of this module due to:
- Improved bid coverage which leads to more competitive pricing
- More efficient communication with automatic message and status tracking
- Cost reduction through less use of shipping, printed materials etc
- Easier access to historical data to improve future projects
Bidders have access to the Bidding module when invited to participate in a bid. They can view or download all of the required information and communicate with the bid manager using the e-Builder system.
