There are a number of things that Tech Squares needs to buy from time to time. Many of these purchases are best made through eCAT B2P, and therefore individuals are discouraged from buying them at normal stores (as it is more expensive). Instead, if we're running low on cups, tell the treasurer and they'll buy them.
In particular, we try to buy these things from eCATB2P:
- Drinking cups
- Peel-off name badges
Other purchases can be made elsewhere and should be submitted to the treasurer. For example, badge and t-shirt orders. If you buy something for the club (ie cake) and want to get reimbursed, talk to the treasurer. Talk to the treasurer to get copies of MIT's tax exempt forms to avoid paying tax, since MIT does not reimburse tax.
