MIT can set up shared mailboxes for groups of users who need to send & receive mail from an email address. The email address is limited to must be 3-8 characters in length.
This process would require that CRE IT sponsor an MIT guest account (https://ist.mit.edu/guest-accounts), then put in a ticket to David Blum's team to have that guest account converted to a shared mailbox (ops-help@mit.edu). OPS team would need to know the names of the students who would be accessing the shared account.
