In December 2009, representatives from all around the world will gather in Copenhagen, Denmark, at the next major meeting of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

The Copenhagen meeting represents the next major effort by the international community to negotiate a global agreement that will lay out a roadmap for action to address climate change. In Copenhagen, the parties will seek to negotiate an agreement on targets for reducing CO2 emissions and deforestation.
The initial version of the Climate Collaboratorium gives everyone a chance to put forward their ideas about what the world should agree to in Copenhagen.
The Collaboratorium has been created in the belief that if that collective intelligence of the whole world can be harnessed, it will lead to the development of better solutions to climate change that any group of experts could arrive at on their own.
The Collaboratorium community seeks to have contributors develop a plan that at least 500 people have worked on. And we intend to bring this plan to the Copenhagen meeting.
