When the user hits the Cancel button, the modal dialog box disappears with no effect. If the user hits Submit, she receives a popup window to give her confirmation that something happened. Documents are invisible on the homepage, so we added the popup as a way of giving the user confirmation that something actually happened.
Upon hitting "OK", the dialog box and popup disappear.
