If your event is NOT part of an IAP series:

Most classes and events should be posted on the news blog, MIT events calendar, and library calendar of events, as described below. If you think your class or event merits more marketing than that , fill out the Marketing Support Request Form as early as possible.

  1. Figure out all the details you'll need to market the event (title, description, whether or not to require registration, etc.).
  2. If you're requiring registration, post the event on LibCal.  If you need a password or help, email web-lib@mit.edu.
  3. Ask your unit's designated blogger to post the event on the MIT Libraries news blog and on the MIT calendar.  (By doing this, the event will automatically be added to the Libraries' calendar of events.) If you're requiring registration, include a link to the event's LibCal registration page.If you think your class or event merits more marketing than that (news blog story, MIT events calendar post, library calendar of events post), fill out the Marketing Support Request Form as early as possible.
