    •  getting criticized in art school can have a really bad effect sometimes. there was a lot of competition and our teachers were
      all kinda well known in the ' art film ' world so there was pressure to always make really good work. this made me over think everything and as a result i didn't experiment as much as i should have. that's not true for everyone though but i think a lot of people felt like that.

    • i mostly liked getting feedback in the form of " oh this is a lot like <some other film maker> " that helped me discover a lot of new people and work. i got encouraged to experiment a lot which is always good advise.
