Metadata Pricing Plan

Production Pricing Recommendations:

Historically, when production is involved in a metadata services project, Rob Wolfe’s time as been consistently   reported at 22-30% of production time.  Therefore the recommendation is that on all production projects an overhead of 25% be applied to account for Rob’s time.  Any potential loss in the approximation will be recouped in the time it takes to track, monitor, and report time in general.

For example if Metadata production reports 100 hours of work to Michelle Miller then she will automatically apply a 25% overhead charge for consulting and administration.  Meaning she would charge for 25 hours at Rob’s rate.

Also, it is recommended that on all production projects that are deposited into our repository are charged with a 5% overhead charge to recover Carl Jones’ time.  This should be charged at the same rate as Rob Wolfe.  This can be justified due to unique scripts and crosswalk needed for each batch loading project.

Libraries Internal Consultation Pricing Plan:

It is recommended that this plan work in a similar fashion to container fees.

General consultation will cost at a minimum $500 to include a meeting and a recommendation.

$2,500 will include a monthly meeting (yr), recommendations based on original project scope.

$3,500 (for outside of the libraries)

OCW will remain the same.
