- Hopefully you have set up Kerberos username and password by now: https://ist.mit.edu/accounts
- You need to download MIT Certificate Authority and MIT Personal Certificate to be able to access any MIT-only site: https://ist.mit.edu/certificates
- Setup MIT email forwarding (optional): https://ist.mit.edu/email/forward What happens is MIT uses Outlook Web which is something any sane human being would not want to deal with (plus it has a super small storage limit), so I'd recommend forward your mit emails into something else (a popular choice is gmail). It takes less than a minute to setup.
- Once school starts, you might find Moira is a very useful way of creating group e-mail lists (for classes, study groups, etc). Start here.
