Card Access - Security Groups

Physical security/card access is controlled through physicalsecurity.mit.edu.

CRE controls card access to all CRE doors. You can see who the gatekeepers are by logging into the physicalsecurity.mit.edu dashboard, clicking on the security group, and selecting "Gatekeepers."

If you need access to any of the spaces on the fourth floor, contact Peggy Bryan in DUSP.

Note: Corridor doors (like the one outside of 9-338) all have an even hundred number. The door outside 9-338 is 9-300CB New.

The sap-all clearance includes every door at the School of Architecture & Planning. It's a high-level clearance that is necessary for people like Jim to do their jobs. There is a limit to how many clearances an individual can be assigned. In general, all changes to clearances should please go through Jim Harrington.

cre-temp is a proposed group (need to confirm with new AO) for students and staff who need temporary access to these rooms. It is advised to have someone review access to these rooms once per month to see if access is still necessary.

cre-temp is intended as a way to grant temporary access to employees who are not part of one of the moira lists above. This is useful for students, visiting faculty, and others who will only be at CRE short-term and are not otherwise affiliated with CRE long-term.

9-326

This is security access to the research room space, as well as the hallway door outside 9-338.

Gatekeepers

Gatekeepers are employees who can control card access. The current gatekeepers can be found by going to physicalsecurity.mit.edu/clearances/gatekeepers/ and selecting the desired clearance group.

Space Administrators

Space administrators are above gatekeepers, and have more permissions, though I'm not sure exactly what privledges they have beyond gatekeepers.
