New members should be added to the ASA shared Google drive. Either their personal or MIT-workspace Google account may be used, at their preference. This step can be completed by members of the ASA, although if none can be reached, IS&T possesses the ability to add members as well upon request and confirmation of affiliation.

Email Lists

All ASA members (with the exception of president and secretary) are assigned to a committee (of their choosing by recommendation of the existing board). They should then be added to the corresponding mailing list for their committee (eg. asa-goups@, asa-space@, asa-treasury@). Committee heads should be added to their corresponding "chair" email lists.

Slack

New members should be added to the ASA Slack workspace. This step can be completed by members of the ASA, although if none can be reached, IS&T possesses the ability to add members as well upon request and confirmation of affiliation. Once joined, new members should join the following channels at minimum:

  • #agenda
  • #asa-exec-students (private)
  • #general
  • #memes
