MIT Satellite Team is a student-run group that designs, builds, tests, and flies small satellites. We fuse aerospace, software, and systems engineering to tackle end-to-end missions—from concept and requirements to AIT (assembly, integration, and test) and operations—using NASA-style processes and real hardware. Our current focus is a continuation of the work from the NASA Human Lander Challenge Team from last year. The goal of the project is to increase the technology readiness level of a novel solution to reduce boiloff of cryogenic fluids in space. As we progress through this project, there will be active work across ADCS, EPS, Comms, Structures/Thermal, Operations and more. If you’re excited to learn fast, build flight-ready systems, and contribute to an MIT-built space project, join us—there’s room for every skill set, from modeling and code to machining and mission operations.
