Task Description

Observations

(figure 1a.2)

Add a new trip entitled "My New Trip" to Europe for 7 days for yourself from March 24 - March 30

Users thought the '+' button was to be pressed first in order to add the trip. Thought the gender slider was interesting.

2a

(figure 2a.2)

'Pack' these items:
-2/3 shirts
-pair of mittens

Users were confused by the green number on the backpack (there to indicate the number of luggages/backpacks currently using). Wasn't sure where to start when packing shirts

(figure 3a.2)

View weather information

Users had no trouble finding the weather information

4a

(see figure 2a.2)

'Unpack' 2 shirts

Generally had no trouble. One user thought that the 'Reset' button at the button would automatically unpack all the clothes already packed

5a

(see figure 1a.2)

Change your trip and extend it by 3 days

The reset button was misleading for users, since they believed that pressing it would erase all the packing they had done earlier. The task of the button itself was intuitive, and users knew that they could press it to go edit their trip information.

6a

(figure 6a.1)

(figure 6a.2)

Add these items to the list of things you want to pack:
-4 more shirts
-bagpipes

Users had a hard time finding the +/- button indicating adding and removing items from the list of items to bring. Would generally look around aimlessly until they found it. When they pulled up the edit popup, didn't realize what to do. Some users would try and press add before actually typing in an item name

7a

Remove all scarves from the list of items that you want to bring

Users didn't realize they had scarves in their to-bring list. They were also confused on the distinction between packing an item and removing it from the shelf, since both actions removed items from the shelf but the latter removes it entirely without the possibility of it returning
