This resource is operated and maintained by the Educational Technology Consultant's Group, which is part of Academic Computing, which is part of Information Services and Technology at MIT. You are currently connected to a development server. A production server is on order. The server is taking longer to arrive than we had anticipated. We hope to have it installed and ready to go by mid April.

titleServer Update - April 2225, 2005

(green star) The move to We're now – finally – running on the production server will take place this weekend. This server will be brought down at 10:00 PM Friday April 22 and data will be migrated over during the weekend. The production server will be available on Monday morning (April 25). The host name of the server will change. For convenience, we will put a temporary redirect at the current URL. Please make a note (or, better yet, a bookmark) of the new URL: https://confab.mit.edu/confluence/login.actionImage Added
The redirect on the old server (https://edtech-two.mit.edu/confluence/Image Added) will go away on May 9.
Enjoy, and please keep us (confluence-hq@mit.edu) informed of any problems.

How's it Work?

Confluence is segmented into 'Spaces'. A space can be either world readable or restricted, with varying permission levels, to members of a given group (or set of groups).
For instance:
You are currently in the 'Welcome to the Academic Computing Wiki', or 'TOP' space. This space is world-readable, but permissions are set such that anyone in the group confluence-users (anyone with an account) can add comments.
