FututreBoston Mission Statement:

FutureBOSTON -- What Next for Boston and the Region in the Global Economy

The FutureBOSTON is a major civic dialogue, hosted over Boston.com, to see how far international collaborators can go -- framing concepts, generating models, and posting their solution on the Web to the major challenges confronting cities today. The project will give experts from Vancouver to Seoul the chance to weigh in on how to increase the density of housing in the corridor along Mass Ave in Boston, propose a sustainable live-work university district around MIT or utilize eMedical records to chart a pathway to better personal health.

"Talent is the world's natural resource," said Tom Piper, Executive Director of FutureBOSTON and a Senior Research Scientist at MIT. "FutureBOSTON is about engaging this talent worldwide in new ways over the web and focus it to help create a world class city that continues to attract and retain world class people."

FutureBOSTON is powered by Zude - a new social networking software that allow anyone anywhere to help shape the Boston's future, provides innovative solutions to global challenges; striving to:

•           Engage young inventors, experts, designers and citizens alike in an international "IdeaJAMTM
