Welcome to the Climate Collaboratorium!

The Climate Collaboratorium is a global community of people developing plans for what we humans can do about global climate change.

Vote for plans

One of the most important things you can do here is to vote for the plan you think is best. The current plans are summarized in the _Plans_ tab. To vote for a plan, just select the plan you want and click the box called Vote for this plan.

To decide which plan to vote for, you'll probably want to look at various parts of the plans such as their Descriptions, their predicted Impacts, and the Debates about their advantages and disadvantages.

For more details, see How to view and vote for plans.

Don't worry about having to make a perfect choice the first time. You can change your vote anytime you want.

Create new plans

To try to create a better plan than the ones already here, you can either

  • create a brand new plan by clicking the Add plan button or
  • create a new plan based on an old one by clicking the Create new plan from selected button.

For more details, see How to create new plans.

You can also create new plans just to see what the Impacts would be for different Actions we humans might take, even if you don't want to save these plans for others to see.

Join the Debates

To see and participate in debates about climate change, go to the _Debates_ tab. Here you'll see debates about the key issues that underlie the different plans, as well as other issues related to climate change.

For more details, see How to view and participate in debates.

Philosophy

The Climate Collaboratorium community welcomes people with all points of view about global climate change. Since this topic is complex and controversial, however, the community expects all participants to

  • respect scientific evidence and logical argument
  • treat each other respectfully and courteously.
