11/1/2010 - Core Team Meeting 

In attendence: core team members

Updates

  • System Preparation
    • SFK update complete
    • SF3 update
      • Mods complete (several will be applied through enhancement in SF2)
      • Should be able to move forward and execute Payroll Simulation & DW test extracts
      • Plan on executing go-live validation steps in SF3 11/2-11/3
      • Preliminary times: kernel - 1hr, SPS - 12hr, Oracle Upgade - 8hr)
      • lost a day in the process due to a back up failure
    • SF2 update started
      • action log on Wednesday
      • R3 will change ZUTTREQ target system to SH3 (no change to ZUTTREQ should be required)
      • Unit testing is scheduled to begin Thursday
    • SH3 refresh starting this week
      • portal from SF5 will be used for SH3
  • Testing
    • Plans published on the wiki
    • Unit test plan
      • need to develop spreadsheet upload of new transactions changes to the unit test db
      • set up meeting with Rich, Ken, Mary, Frank - determine how to track unit test activity
    • SIT test plan - confirm with Business; make sure testers areaware of what and when they are testing
    • QC queries have been developed
  • Development freeze is underway
  • Broad deactivation will move in with normal transports this week
  • GUI logon development work will begin this week
    • change will be tested in SF7
    • moved to SF2 (rebuilt) on the weekend and tested with Mon-Wed test transactions
  • John will create transport list November 12 (we'll need to determine what will be done with transports in test that have not moved to production)
  • Need to set up a bridgeline for Core meeting going forward

    • SFK update near completion

      • ABAP team needs to be available
  • Testing
    • Will publish plan on the wiki (new page will be developed)
    • Unit test plan - near completion
      • need to develop spreadsheet upload of new transactions changes to the unit test db
    • SIT test plan - near completion as well
    • QC queries underdevelopment
  • Development freeze is one week away

10/19/2010 - Core Team Meeting

  • System Preparation
    • SF3 has been refreshed; refreshed action log execution on schedule
    • SF3 payroll simulation run on schedule
    • SF7 practice system still being built (missing a patch level)
      • this system will be used to develop gui logon changes
    • Support Pack side effects report has been generated and posted to the Project Scope page of this wiki
    • SFK Support Pack Application process has begun
    • Support Application process will begin in SF3 starting next Monday
  • Test Planning
    • Unit Test
      • for the most part 2009/2010 comparisons are complete
      • new transaction review is in process
      • Rich is working on additional query requests (though off-site this week)
    • SIT
      • needs to be wrapped up by 10/25
      • Actively in progress
    • Goal is to communicate test plans at SAPbiz
  • Transport management
    • Updated list is has been posted on the wiki
    • Many of the transports on the list are obsolete
    • Several projects are going live this week so the list will significantly drop down

  • System Preparation
    • SF3 is now off line and being refreshed in preparation of Support Pack Application
    • SF8 is now the system for the application of OSS notes for production support
    • Request to review Action Log
    • SF7 being used as a practice system and the system for Logon development work
  • Test Planning
    • Unit test planning
      • In progress - extended due date to 10/15
      • "Z" drive mapping needed for access to unit test db (see Rich for access)
      • Reporting needed
        • matrix report
        • list of what's being tested for publication
    • SIT test planning
      • Extended due date to 10/25
      • Basic structures have been agreed to
      • User groups have been shown QC
      • Automated test cases need to be validated/modified for HRP (in-progress)
      • HRP waiting on EL cases
    • Goal is to publish test plan at 10/27 SAPbiz meeting
    • QC license restriction becoming a concern again (turns out we do not have unlimited view access)
  • SAP SP release scheduled for 10/14 is on track/Application scheduled to begin in SFK on Monday 10/18

10/04/2010 - Core Team Meeting

  • Test Planning
    • Review Dates
    • SF3 will not be initally scrambled to accomodate a simulation run of the monthly payroll
    • Production validation steps will be executed in SF3
    • SIT (more detailed date view):

The SIT window is 11/11/2010 – 12/10/2010 but there are restrictions around this.

11/11/2010 is a holiday but HRP will begin the payroll comparison runs on this day.

The first 5 business days, 11/11/2010 through 11/17/2010, are reserved for the execution of payroll comparison runs (weekly, monthly & pension).

11/18/2010 is reserved for a controlled Financial Close.

11/19/2010 through 12/5/2010 is open for the general SIT testing (your full pool of testers – business & is&t); please note that there are two holidays embedded in this period (Thanksgiving 11/25-26).

12/6/2010 will be reserved for a controlled Financial Close.

12/7/2010 through 12/8/2010 is reserved for retesting outstanding issues.

12/9/2010 is reserved to execute the validation test in SH3 that will be performed in PS1 on go-live weekend.

12/10/2010 - go live weekend!** Business users meetings status - all areas have or have had meetings scheduled

    • New project Remove MIT Alert from SAP (end of October)
    • Broad Deactivation been identified (could go before the freeze)
    • Unicode - obsolete programs may move with the Support Packs

    • Core team to review and report strategy for transports by 10/8 to Transport Coordinator (John Tuttle)

    • NW EHP 2 will not be available until December 2010 therefore it is nolonger in the scope of this project
    • Confirmed that HRP SP 27 is the base level required for year end tax reporting and will be released by SAP on 10/14/2010
    • Solution manager needs to updated to stack 24 has a prerequisite for the application of this years support packs (update is in progress)
  • Quality Center
    • additional five licences have not been installed (should be by weeks end)
    • problem creating a secure domain for HRP test scripts; issue has been opened up with SAP
  • Unit test catalog DB
    • development uderway; should be complete by week's end
  • Other
    • practice system identified: SF7
    • test planning has started (meetings have been scheduled w/ BOs)
    • will post project related email lists on the wiki
