Emergent projects are organic, student-led local projects with social, environmental/sustainability, or other dimensions. We plan for them to be co-created with students and faculty, and to be coached and advised on-demand

The course is designed to

• Respond to student interests
• Explore links to the rest of MIT
• Rapidly prototype and learn for a projects capability
• Be fairly small (25 students in 4-5 person teams)
• Reveal how to connect process and content
• Complement other projects courses

Initial course design ideas:

• Coaching from one or two faculty
• Faculty "bench" who agree to be available for on-call teaching on specific subject areas
• Already identified opportunities for student projects
• Currently working on a course framework; will collaborate with students, faculty in April and May
