Background

While operating, there are several possible states that the satellite may be experiencing. These are:

1. Safe Mode - An error has occurred, and we want to pause peripheral operations until we can diagnose and correct the issue.
2. Science Mode - Data is being collected.
3. Uplink/Downlink - The satellite is communicating with the ground station, either receiving or transmitting information.
