The aim of pdd is to set up a group of researchers who share the interest of researching topics within the product design and development sphere. Ultimately, the purpose is to create a communicative space for MIT design researchers that allows the exchange of ideas, best practices and methodology approaches as well as simply testing one's ideas amongst peers.
The core group of pdd is comprised of the 4th floor design researchers (building 3) from the labs of Maria Yang, Dan Frey, Warren Seering, Alex Slocum and David Wallace.
Should you be interested in participating actively (e.g. lunch time presenter) or passively (listener) or just want to keep an eye on developmenets, sign into the public mailing list: pdd@mit.edu
(you may sign in and out yourself using moira: http://webmoira.mit.edu)
Each week, researcher will present new or ongoing research for about 30 min, followed by a discussion and some idea sharing. There are three types of presentations we are aiming for:
When: every Thursday, 12:00 pm to 01:00 pm
Where: room 5-314
09/24/09
Philipp Skogstad, Martin Steinert, Karl Gummerlock, Larry Leifer
We need a universal design project outcome performance measurement metric: a discussion based on empirical research.
