On the ones with missing pages, if no fiche/film is available we will just insert disclaimer pages to note that they were missing in the original. I can also do the same in the case of report 267 which is poor quality and have the disclaimer say that it is the best copy available. DTMB_1930_0267 poor quality original DTMB_1972_3863 missing p19-20 DTMB_1962_1511 missing p7 DTMB_1958_1236 missing p3-6 DTMB_1965_2129 original quality is horrendous, if no film/fiche the I wouldn't even scan paper Jenn ---- Hi Beverly - In QCing the DTMB I've found a report that has some missing pages. Do we have additional copies of these reports or are these the only ones? The report is 1953-780 and it is missing page 4 & 48. If we don't have another copy, we will just insert pages that say the page was missing from the original document. JM 9.30.09 Well... as soon as I respond my answer changes. It turns out that Barker might have a copy of the report on microfiche. Carol is going to look. If she finds the report and it does have the missing pages would this help you? Could you digitize from microfiche? Bev 9.30.09 Regarding the issue of missing pages, unfortunately Barker does not have the missing item in fiche form. Bev 10-26-09 ---- July 1958 Report #1236 Missing pages 3-6 Checking to see if available on fiche JM 10-27-09 ---- h2. Other Issues 10-27-09: Carol replies that we should not scan the 2 loose pages in question. - BT Carol, Would you weigh into the issue below. My reaction is that we should not scan it due to copyright restrictions on the Cornell article. Any thoughts as to what this might be and why it was with the notebook. Thanks, Beverly \-\--\--Original Message-\---\- From: Jenn Morris [mailto:j_morris@MIT.EDU] Sent: Thursday, October 15, 2009 1:08 PM To: Beverly Turner Subject: DTMB Hi Beverly - We've got a report here (Jan 1962, 1566) which includes 2 loose pages as an errata sheet. But it doesn't look like the errata sheet actually goes to this report or any of the DTMB reports as the report cited is: Crimi, P, Statler, IC Forces and Moments on an Oscillating Hydrofoil Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory Report BB-1629-S-1 August 1962 I think this sheet belongs to a report from Cornell was on the citation. Do you think Carol should take a look at this or should we not scan it? JM 10-15-09 |
