WebEx with BMC for CI Types and Product Categorizations

• CI types are standard (come with the system)
• service offerings are the CIs we want to populate from the portfolio
  • CI type "business services"
• service components are CIs we want to populate as well
  • relate them back to service offering
    • service offering aggregation is a requirement for us (future)
  • CI type "technical service"
• product categorizations define routing within the system
  • will direct change to specific group
  • without product categorizations, we will need to manually select group to route to
    • routing becomes important in future phases, such as incident management
  • we can have routing auto populate based on person or group entering the change
  • better to wait on product categorizations until we know what we want (harder to change than to add later)
