Integrated Communications Project

• Began a series of breakfast meetings with key faculty to set project directions provide oversight.

• Identified partial set of initial experiments to begin in FY06 - including:
  • Collaborative video display and communications spaces to be installed in three dorms this summer.
  • Real-time coordination tools to support Alcator experiments at the Plasma Science and Fusion Center.
  • Real-time collaboration server for support of SMA Phase 2 research efforts.
  • Prototype voice mail to email service.

• Worked with Shuttletrack students to add voice interface - X8-7225 .

• Began work to define an potential Institute-wide, larger initiative in integrated communications.

• Worked with OIS to harden existing SIP infrastructure to support future experiments.

• Created project Wiki in confluence - currently has 70 pages.

• Created new project home page - still not in service.
