PDU categories we can take advantage of as part of our Community of Practice activities:

• Category B: Continuing Education – Allows for granting of PDUs for any "By attending relevant educational courses, conferences, seminars or symposiums offered by training organizations NOT registered by PMI.  This includes training (or webinar) offered by your employer" - 1 PDU for every hour spent - (the course needs to be offered by a training organization)
• Category C: Self-Directed Learning – Allows for PDUs for "being coached or mentored by a colleague, coworker or consultant" (this can apply to participants in Café Talks) - 1 PDU for every hour spent
• Category E: Volunteer Service – Allows for PDU for "Provide mentoring and coaching to a colleague, coworker or consultant" (this can apply to CoP members who mentor and/or coach coworkers and each other on Project Management)
• Category F: Working as a Professional in Project Management – (this applies to anyone who "Works as a Project Manager for a minimum of 6 months within a 12 month period) - earn a total of 15 PDUs per cycle for PMP credential holders.
