1. Complete the web projects we've agreed to take on. (see web projects list for this year)
2. Identify needs of MIT Libraries departments and then design lifecycle studies or other user research related to specific projects as needed for this academic year.
3. Partner with other MIT Libraries units to bring user needs into all of our work. Use the data from the library survey, web analytics, and the digital scholarship and space studies.
a. Try new ways to communicate to MIT Libraries staff about what we can provide (such as What's up with UX events or other ways)
b. Offer "Writing for the web" workshops 1-2 times per year (for library staff)
c. Share web projects list with library managers and other groups as needed.
4. Find more ways to help our organization innovate
Make the betas program more sustainable, explore ways to get more betas in the pipeline. Continue our periodic review/assessments where we either graduate or graveyard the betas.
6. Continue to focus on own training and professional development.
a. Continue participating in communities such as UPA Boston, CodeAcademy, LITA, Anthro-lib, etc.
b. Continue to keep ourselves up to date and trained in these areas: heuristic testing, usability studies, information architecture.
