• 2.1-community-release-candidate: Does search (OpenSearch) actually work within the WCM?  We can't seem to get any results from our web projects. [Alf: no UI in 2.1.  Just capability.  There's web scripting.  Wasn't time to integrate into the search box.  In the meantime?  Maybe OpenSearch for 2.1E.  Otherwise maybe dashlet written via web scripts with 2.1]
  • How can we provide and maintain a topic hierarchy in a web project? See https://wikis.mit.edu/confluence/display/ZEST/How+to+Manage+a+Topic+Hierarchy for more details on this issue. [Alf: (forge.alfresco.com/projects/wcm-metadata has two schemas metadata schema, and content schema.)... tagging... some kinda some stuff Joe isn't quite understanding... sounds like there are many possible solutions.  Assigning roles to allow certain content authors to maintain topics]
  • MIT Jira https://confab.mit.edu/jira/browse/WCM-33 : In a web form, the "file picker" offers a file browse capability. This doesn't help so much if there are many (several hundred) documents to browse. Is it possible to have search (file name and/or within file content) capability in a file picker control? Put another way, if you want to link or refer to another document how can you easily locate that other document? [Alf: 2.2]
  • (Also MIT Jira WCM-33) Is it possible to do an on-the-fly creation of a separate document while creating forms content, and store a reference to that newly-created doc? [communicated to Alf]
  • MIT Jira https://confab.mit.edu/jira/browse/WCM-94  : Deleting a rendition should delete form instance data.  Not fixed in 2.1RC. [Alf: 2.1E]
  • MIT Jira https://confab.mit.edu/jira/browse/WCM-93 : ${node} in rendition output path pattern only accessible to Content Managers.    Not fixed in 2.1RC.  [Alf: should be working for 2.1E]
  • MIT Jira https://confab.mit.edu/jira/browse/WCM-91 : Is IE7 now fully supported in 2.1RC? [Alf: 2.1E]
  • MIT Jira https://confab.mit.edu/jira/browse/WCM-84 : XSLT 2.0 Support (via pluggable rendering engines) : This is listed here as targeted for 2.1.  http://issues.alfresco.com/browse/WCM-169  Has this been done?  Is there documentation somewhere? [Alf: 2.2]
  • MIT Jira https://confab.mit.edu/jira/browse/WCM-82 : Integrated XQuery Support for XML Content : I know that there's a workaround planned for this (Lucene search of indexed fields in xml file).  Has it made it into 2.1?  Can we see it?  Thanks. [Alf: Nightly build has sample (shared alfresco extensions) xml extractor example.]
  • MIT Jira https://confab.mit.edu/jira/browse/WCM-76 : Web Client Usability: Better list-of-files widget : The Modified Items list in 2.1RC still looks like a big flat list which will choke when we submit hundreds of items.  And the pagination inside sandboxes looks unchanged since 2.0.  How do you get to an item on page, say, 125?  Answer: at least 25 clicks. [Alf: pagination: search might alleviate this.   We might have to do this ourselves if we want to see something different here.  As for Modified Items: Paul will look into what can be done for 2.1E]
  • MIT Jira https://confab.mit.edu/jira/browse/WCM-35 : Expand capabilities of schema annotations in Web Forms : Any progress here since 2.0? [Alf: yes, progress in 2.1 annotation guide will be put into Wiki (Ariel)]
  • MIT Jira https://confab.mit.edu/jira/browse/WCM-27 : Admin rights cannot be granted/revoked without a server bounce : Any progress? [Alf: post-2.2, but there is a way to extend Alfresco so that privileges are dynamic... this has been done by some of their clients]
  • MIT Jira https://confab.mit.edu/jira/browse/WCM-19 : Web Project Bulk Upload Exception : Still present.  Why?  [Alf: attach example of zip file which fails (note: ampersand, percent).  Paul says it will be resolved for 2.1E]
  • Multiple "tenants" per instance of Alfresco: [Alf: multitenancy... there's a lot of internal discussion about whether that should be open source or not.  Might be Enterprise... OEM only... We should make our case for the use-case.  Something will be planned for that by end-of-year.  MIT will get access, but it might not be open-source.]
  • Granular roles & access rights: [Alf: wiki?  Joe missed if there was an answer to this, sorry.]
  • Merging the WCM with ECM [Alf: they've been doing it carefully.  It may never be completely "merged", so to speak.  The chances are good that the AVM(WCM) will eventually be a superset of the ECM.  Post-post-2.2.  Maybe even post-post-post-2.2.]
