The Cambridge American Stage Tour
Logistics
- They begin planning their tour in early January. Consider contacting them after BOT if you have not yet heard from them.
- Check with Theater Arts as early as possible to see if they can be sponsored.
Hosting
- If possible, try to host them all near each other. In 2012, having most of them on 2W worked very well.
- Make sure they have a hard copy of their liability insurance to work in KLT.
- They will collect suggested donations.
- You may choose to give them a small donation for their performance (We gave $500 in 2012). You can negotiate taking a cut of/all of their donations if you give them a flat fee.
- KLT is an ideal space for their performance.
Scheduling
- Plan a cool event for them one night. In 2012, we all went out to see "The Donkey Show" at the Oberon.
- Keep an eye out for parties around campus (ex. EC, BC, etc.). Having a private party is not necessarily ideal. In 2012, the 4E party was better attended than the Fenway party.
- It is probably acceptable to cancel the Sunday rehearsal on the weekend they visit.
