Collaboration with the Office of Institutional Research
The RISG Undergrad Instruction Assessment subgroup has also developed a strong relationship with Greg Harris, of the Provost's Institutional Research Office. We developed a question, in conjunction with Steve Gass, that will be included as part of a number of undergraduate surveys, as this Office continues to conduct these over time. See the Office's survey pages, specifically the Freshman / First Year Surveys, Enrolled Student Survey, Senior Survey and Undergraduate Alumni Survey.
We have participated in the Undergraduate Alumni Survey, which was conducted in spring 2009. Our results are available in the attached graph, as well as from the Alumni Survey, page 59. This year, we participated in the Senior Survey, p. 32.
The timetable for the other two surveys:
- Next incoming freshman is late summer 2010 (we do this every two years).
- Next enrolled is spring 2011 (we do this every four years).
Lisa has committed to keep in touch with Greg to get the data from any surveys, and to get our question on the two upcoming surveys, as part of her new responsibilities.
