create questionnaire

  • Start here

edit/review questions

  • Once you have begun building a questionnaire, you can continue editing the questionnaire as long as the 'go' option is available. Once the questionnaire has been released and at least one response has been received from a participant, editing of the questionnaire will be disabled.

go to student view

  • This enables the instructor to see the questionnaire as exchange participants will see it, for either the host or partner institution.
o This view will open a new window
o This view includes a link enabling the instructor to edit the instructions the participants will see
o In this view, 'submit answers' is disabled
o Links to the student view page are also available from the 'edit/review questions' page

release questionnaire

  • This step makes the questionnaire available to exchange participants, enabling them to enter responses. The 'Status' box will display the number of students who have completed the questionnaire at any given time.

withdraw questionnaire

  • This step puts the questionnaire in a state such that exchange participants can no longer enter responses.

view/edit answers

  • Once a questionnaire has been released, instructors can begin viewing answers. Instructors can also edit responses here if they find it necessary to do so.

release answers

  • This makes responses viewable by all exchange participants.

export answers

  • export formatted answers for archiving or insertion into other tools. Not yet implemented.

add/delete participants

  • add registered users to (or delete from) instructor and student lists for this exchange. Students can register themselves for exchanges, so adding students via this function will probably not be necessary (though deleting any who may have registered for the wrong exchange may be).
It is necessary to use this function to add other people (e.g. the instructor from the partner institution) to the 'instructor' list.
Only users who have already registered themselves for a Cultura account can be added to these lists. Note that MIT students do not need to explicitly register – simply arriving at the Cultura site using a certificate-enabled browser will cause a Cultura account to be automatically created (they still need to register for an exchange, though).

modify exchange set-up

  • Add or update logos; choose questionnaire types for this exchange (note that the 'Images'and 'Sounds' questionnaire types are not yet enabled.
  • No labels
