Using plink.exe with TortoiseSVN for Windows

PREREQUISITES

Before you begin, you must have the following:

  • You must have installed TortoiseSNV. Click here to get the lastest version of TortoiseSVN.
    Installing Maven on your workstation will insure that the Netbeans Maven Plugin will use the latest version of Maven.

Configuring plink.exe for use with TortoiseSVN

Using plink.exe with TortoiseSVN will eliminate the TortoiseSVN irritating username/password prompts.

  1. Download plink.exe and place it in C:\

  2. Launch windows explorer, goto C:\ and right click on plink.exe.  Select TortoiseSVN->Settings.

    From the right hand panel, select Network and in the SSH client: field (bottom right panel) enter C:\plink.exe as shown below:



  3. Click the OK button and you are done.
