For nearly two weeks, Florida experienced extremely cold temperatures that ruined crops and even paralyzed iguanas. Many of Florida's low temperature records were broken, with some lows down in the teens.  The cold air combined with moisture from the Gulf of Mexico was responsible for the snow seen in many parts of the state.
