Unfortunately you're not going to be able to configure Gmail to pull email down from your MIT email server. Your MIT inbox sits on an Exchange mail server, and Gmail's servers cannot talk to Exchange servers.
If you want to receive your MIT in your gmail inbox, you'll have to configure your MIT account to forward email. There are a number of ways to do this, and all of them are documented in the following Knowledge Base article:
