Ginny lives in Gryffindor Tower. Unfortunately, she must do her own laundry so that she does not accidentally free any of the castle House Elves. She has one load of robes that she wants to wash, so she checks on her phone to see if any washing machines are open. Though none of the machines are vacant, there is one that has finished running and still has wet clothes in it. Ginny views a confusing note left by their owner about laundry care. She texts the owner asking to clarify these instructions, and upon receiving a response, she dries the clothes on the appropriate settings.

Ginny also has her own laundering preferences. Thus, after she personally loads her laundry in the washer, she wants to make sure that other students do not subsequently dry her laundry incorrectly in case she doesn't come back to move it on time. She therefore leaves her own note, explaining that she wants her clothes dried on the delicate cycle.

Ginny would also like to know when her laundry is done. In fact, since she's a wee bit obsessive, she wants to be able to constantly check how much time her laundry has remaining. Ginny has a DA meeting to get to soon, at which she intends to impress Harry Potter.
