Problem Statement
The hardest part of going to concerts is the organization. Finding concerts nearby you’re interested in (including artists you haven't really heard before), then finding people to accompany you is distributed and difficult. It's often done through word of mouth, or by poring over multiple venues' websites.
We'd like to create a web app that integrates these actions. You can sign in with your last.fm account, or by going through a quick quiz that provides us information about your music tastes. Then, you can look through a list of concerts at all the venues in the Boston metropolitan area, with the option to filter by multiple criteria, like distance, price, or artist popularity. Every artist has a short sample of music that you can listen to. If you have friends on last.fm, you can also see what friends are likely to be interested in accompanying you to the concert.
