Requirements

JobTracker has only been tested on Firefox 4 on Mac OS or Windows 7. Please use one of those platforms for evaluation. It will look best at 1280x1024 resolution.

Setup Instructions

Go to http://cslink.scripts.mit.edu/jobtracker/homepage.cgi.

Incompleteness

  • The Logout button doesn't work yet. Logging in also isn't implemented.
  • Uploading a document to the system will cause the UI to change appropriately, but your document won't actually be stored anywhere.
  • Task description display hasn't been worked out for this iteration. It shouldn't affect the tasks for interface evaluation.
  • Edit buttons on the company page don't do anything, it's not necessary to complete the scenario in GR3.
  • Notes save, but there isn't a feedback system in place yet.

    • Relatively high fidelity prototype in functionality
    • Look and feel seems unfinished, with very little in terms of graphics and typography. Interface lacks many affordances for clicking and expanding.
    • Groups/colors not very learnable or discoverable.
    • No obvious way to "finish" a task
    • The four box layout for looking at a company isn't particularly efficient or learnable
