Problem Statement
ShutterConnect aims to make it easier for people to find photographers, and for photographers to advertise their services.
Lack of an exisiting photography services means that each photographer has to create his own website and spend a lot of effort advertising the site to ensure potential clients see it. In addition, photographers cannot find out what services clients are looking for, and so cannot adjust their offerings based on current market demand.
It is also inefficient for prospective clients to find well-rated photographers as they have to rely on either their network of friends or use general google searches. In the former, clients have too few photographers to pick from, whereas in the latter, clients don't have reliable reviews to prune the long list of potential candidates.
By having a central website where photographers can advertise their services, and where users can select photographers based on location/price/event filters and other users' reviews, we aim to make the photographer search process more efficient.
