  1. Everyone,

This is Daron Shaw at the University of Texas at Austin. We have three Ph.D. students who are going to use the UT module to generate data for their dissertations. They would like to increase the number of (1) African-American and (2) Asian-American respondents. Polimetrix is very limited in their ability to over-sample these groups within a single 1,000-person module. Steve A. suggested that we work with other teams who are interested in race. Specifically, we'd like to develop a common instrument (or at least have part of the instrument consist of common content) with 3-4 other teams, and pool our cases. That would give us 400-500 African American and 300-400 Asian American responses to work with.

Please contact us either directly or via this Wiki to get things going. Thanks!!!

    Daron

  2. Daron,

Paul Gronke here of the Pew/JEHT team.  Is there any interest in including some items probing about election experiences, specifically use of photo IDs or other polling place challenges?  If there are, there may be some interest on our front.
