Moderator responsibilities
Initially, Collaboratorium moderators will be reponsible for three primary tasks:
- Contributing new content (plans, debate posts, votes)
- Quality control (e.g., quickly removing offensive or damaging content, identifying content that seems inaccurate or not useful and initiating a process to improve it)
- Adding items to the site and moderator task lists
As the site becomes more populated with content and the community grows, two other moderator tasks are likely to become important:
- Identifying "editor's picks," that is, new content that deserves attention which might otherwise be missed
- Define how the moderator role should evolve as the Collaboratorium community grows
The goal is to recruit a large enough group of moderators that they can do the job well in 1-2 hours per week.

- Asking people to add plans, debate posts, and votes
- Identifying active and talented contributors and asking them to become moderators
Moderator technology wish list
- Show changes that have occured since last visit in a different color (this could also be useful functionality for all users)
