What should we humans do about climate change?

Somehow, our species has to answer this question. And you can help.

Anyone - from experts to ordinary citizens - can use this site to develop plans for what we humans can do, vote on the most promising plans, and debate the plans and other issues.

Our first goal is to influence the negotiators in the UN Copenhagen climate talks by

  •  developing high quality plans for what the negotiators should agree to and
  •  having at least 5000 people register their opinions about these plans on this site before December 1, 2009.

    I think this is pretty good.  Would we have buttons from this page?  What would they be?

      I was assuming that the buttons, globe, etc. would stay more or less as they are.

       But now that you mention it, we should probably remove two of the buttons:

       -- Create a new plan (since hardly anyone would ever want to do this directly from the home page, without looking at the plan index first)

      -- Help design the Climate Collaboratorium (since this is a rare enough action that it probably makes sense to get to it from the "How can you help?" page)
