Application Logs

Most workflow actions in moves can be debugged using the UI. During initial setup, or in extreme cases the application log should be consulted. The application log is viewable only by the SAIS Infrastructure support team.

Workflow History Logs

On the Workflow Page, find the workflow you wish to debug. Click on the Workflow History Log Icon ( ). This page shows the workflow steps that were performed. It also shows the current workflow step if the workflow is active, along with the actions which are available.

Audit Trail Logs

On the Workflow Page, find the workflow you wish to debug. Click on the Audit Trail Log Icon ( ). The audit trail logs provide extra logging that was recorded during the workflow. These logs are stored in the Moves database, so are not too verbose. However, they should show any exceptions that occured, along with a timestamp. This is a useful way to cross reference the Application Log.

Build Logs

If the workflow includes a Build, then the Audit Trail log will contain a link called 'File System Log'. Clicking on this will retrieve the complete maven build log that was executed to perform this build.
