Consider applying for Finboard Medium Events Funding. Note that getting summer MEF funding may require asking finboard about it: in 2014, they never sent an e-mail about it, then told us summer was on a rolling basis. Ask them about deadlines early on so you can start your bookings early on.

Timing
The earlier in the term, the better. Right after REX is a great time to do this. Early October is too late – it's cold, and everyone is hosed. Note that having a funflicks rain date on a weekend night may cost slightly more, so we have had Saturday movie nights and Sunday rain dates most times in the past. If possible, having an indoor rain location booked might be worthwhile, since Sunday night movies kind of suck.
