MIT ID
- MIT ID cleanup - investigate options for reducing number of stored social security numbers for past applicants that were either not admitted or did not attend. Admissions Office needs to set a policy about for retaining old MIT ID records before any deletions can be made. Admissions will not have time to consider the issue until mid-late October.
- Change TLO_PERSON_FULL load to check (in the last pass) for social security numbers in the MIT Database table.
Roles
- Worked with the Libraries to define rules for additional sets of Library materials. (Infrastructure and 2 rules are in place for first "general" set of Library materials.).
- Make minor UI enhancements based on user feedback, moved into production and set up authorizations to allow others to maintain rules.
- Began documenting the existing web service methods created by Dave Cohen for Roles DB, person lookup, MIT ID.
- Wrote up enhancements to MIT ID web service, and Roles-DB related
web services.
MITBI
- 4 people attended a five day Microsoft Performance Point class.
- Created detailed requirements document.
- Created DW extracts and loaded data into 5 cubes.
- Created 5 Reports.
- Created 2 input forms.
- Review and refine BI people salary assumptions.
- Performed performance tuning to make calculations and business rules run faster.
- Split server configuration from 1 server to 3 servers.
- Conference calls with Microsoft to tune where possible, clarify direction of the PPS product.
- Add Kerberos Name of PI to property of Cost Object (in Finance and People). Add Kerberos Name of supervisor to property of Employee-Position in People.
- Create/generate an alternate roll-up (hierarchy) for PIs and cost objects.
- Payroll Salary Dist FP Detail - change MAP distributions; add appt subtype code in the "group by" for dist percent.
- Analyze, review, and modify program to compute/set up percentage for Commitments.
- Generate/extract alternate rollup of cost collectors in Sponsor Hierarchy.
- Generate alternate rollup of cost collectors in Profit Center Hierarchy.
- Analyze, review, and write program to compute/set up percentage for Actual Amount.

- Worked on Release 1 Services as part of the Service team.

- Revisions to Faculty Salary by CIP, Faculty Profile by CIP, AAUP Faculty Salaries, Delaware, and Tuition and Required Fees.

Data Warehouse:
Request Tracker
- Added the functionality to merge and delete tickets from the Data Warehouse.
- Rebuilt two of the three Request Tracker Reports with requested modifications.
EHS
- Inspections redesign (analysis, changes to structures, made appropriate changes to SAP extracts and DW loading procedures.
Training & Events Management (TEM)
- Analyzed, designed, extracted (from SAP) and loaded 5 reporting stars into the DW.
- HR/Payroll
- Modified existing SAP/HR extracts and DW load procedures to add new ethnicity/race fields to HR data.
- Modified existing SAP/HR extracts and DW load procedures to add medical plan cost sharing data.
- Completed SANDI specification document and reviewed it with Payroll.
- Work on analyzing payroll results/payroll postings discrepancies (project led by Mike Tierney, SAIS SAP consultant).
- Create new views on overhead related tables and help Steve Dowdy (OSP) with his query requirements.
- Load 3 new lookup type values into BENEFITS_LOOKUP table (additions to conversion code BEN_LOOKUP).
- Build customized Dacca reports for Facilities (Meg Benson).
- Performed analysis and created a new calculated field for DHD 12 Month Equivalent Amount in support of ASR.
- Make modifications to load procedures and data for highest degree field

SMART
- Completed the Analysis, designed, SAP data extract and DW load procedures for phase II - Purchasing.
- Created new problem-checking scripts for SMART data

Student Systems
- Change MITSIS access to student pictures - remove restriction on card expiration date.
- Extracted and loaded GPA graduate data.
- Extracted and loaded Thesis data for student degree data.
- Incorporate the new field ("End of 3rd Year, Graduated), added for 2007-08 data, into the Graduate Retention tables.
- Add Registration Ended Early Reason and Date (for Deceased, withdrew, graduated students) to Student Term Enrollment data.
- DW presentation to Graduate Administrators.
Moira
- Analyzed, designed, loaded Moira group list data into the DW.
Budget Office
- Rebuilt Budget Office dashboard with requested modifications too existing reports and two additional reports all with the ability to report either by Profit Center Hierarchy or PBM Hierarchy
Card Office
- Change mit_card_student_extract.sql (Student feeds to the Card Office) to include incoming transfer students.
- Change employee feeds to Card Office to include employees who have an appointment end date >= 60 days ago.
Keys
- Modified keys extract to accept encrypted files.
TNSC
- Built a reporting dashboard for IS&T Finance.
Opendata at MIT
- Created daily DW extract and load reserved materials to open data wiki.
DW Training
- Taught a Hyperion Intelligence Data Modeling class.
