Anticipated Audience

For researchers studying endangered languages and aboriginal cultures, and the history of the development of linguistics practice.   Improved access to the tapes will have a broader influence beyond the historical research community.  Better access to the collection will allow current linguists to study Hale's pedagogical model which continues to advance the practice of field linguistics.  Material in the collection will be utilized by current practicing linguists to inform projects they are developing.
