Connexion command line and keyword boxes

Pressing the F2 function key or choosing Cataloging → Search → WorldCat from the menu choices brings up the Connexion search box. It is split into two parts, the Command Line Search and the Keyword/Numeric Search.

The following searches can be performed from the command line. This is a brief list of the most common searches. For more command line searching options, see the OCLC searching documentation under the Cataloging heading.

  • ISBN (helpful for times when the number includes fewer than 13 characters)
  • Derived searches: 3,2,2,1 and 4,4
  • Qualified searches: /dlc or /<format> or /<date>
  • Whole phrase, keyword, or phrase searches

The Keyword/Numeric Search section has many index and limiter options that are accessible via drop-down menus.
