Fastcat in Connexion

  1. When you've finished with Triage, login to OCLC Connexion.
  2. Hit the '0' key on the number pad, left side of the keyboard. (See 'Macros--Num.Pad 0'). ISBN search box comes up.
  3. Wand in the ISBN barcode. Record comes up. (Note: If message comes back saying ISBN not found, close the warning box and hit F2 to do an author/title search).
  4. Hit F1 to run the FastCat macro. If the record fails the FastCat macro, return it to the book truck. If it passes, go on to step 5.
  5. Check the 245, 260 and 300 fields on screen for title, author, publisher and date and pagination respectively. If you are satisfied that it is the right record, update the record in OCLC.
  6. Put finished work in bookcase on right.
