Draft Instruction Assessment Survey --Feedback on the draft survey that will be launched during  IAP

  • Discussion about the draft occurred.  Keep in mind that this is a first attempt at assessment, a more robust assessment survey will be created for fall 2008.
  • Does this get at the perceived relevance?
  • Possible other statements:
    • I intend to use what I learned in this session (over the next semester, while at MIT, some kind of time) - or It is likely that I will use...
    • I would recommend this session to others in my department/research group/classes.

Update on draft implementation plan for system-wide instruction plan.

  •  Need to create a graphical representation of this.  PC will send it out when completed.

Outreach or Reference?  ILB stats

  • When ILB unfilled requests are forwarded to subject specialists through AskUs, should this be counted as away from desk reference stats?  Or is this just outreach?   Discussion ensued.
  • Yes, this should be counted as an away from desk statistic.  It can be Reference or Other, depending on the question and the response by the subject specialist.   This is still optional for the subject selectors to respond, as determined previously.  Reference coordinators will alert their units.
