• Annual stipend increases that are competitive with unionized peer institutions and compensate for rising inflation, rent, and the overall cost of living
  • Improve student health insurance (e.g. fully covered dental and vision, dependent, and partner coverage, etc.).
  • Expand childcare subsidies and increase access to childcare facilities and lactation rooms.
  • Expand paid medical and family leave.
  • Guarantee 12-month funding for the duration of a graduate degree.

Better Support for Fellows

  • NSF report on how MIT is illegally charging tuition to NSF fellows (April 2022)
  • "End the process of paying back part of your stipend to MIT when you win an external fellowship. This only happens at MIT due to some weird bureaucracy and our tuition being outrageously high (MIT doesn't allow an RAship that provides tuition but not stipend). The outcome is that we have to pay money out of our salary back to MIT."
