MIT Mental Health

MIT mental health is right on campus and provide great suppport for students. This page is their home page and includes all the basic info. In particular, they provide the following services:

  • At any time if you have any concern, call the number: Weekdays: 617-253-2916, and Nights/weekends: 617-253-4481.

  • Recurring counselling sessions: call 617-253-2916 to get set-up for appointments to see a Clinician.

  • Group counselling is an option too, and more info is here

  • If you are concened for someone else, check here

Here is the list of items that they can help with:

We can help if:

  • You’re finding it hard to work, because you’re anxious or sad
  • You’re having trouble sleeping or concentrating, or you’re sleeping too much
  • You don’t enjoy activities you once looked forward to
  • You’re distressed about a relationship with another person
  • You’re concerned about feelings or behaviors having to do with alcohol, drugs, food, sex, or other issues
  • You feel lonely, isolated, angry, or irritable
  • Talking to your friends or parents about a problem doesn't really help
  • You’re worried about a student, colleague, or friend
  • You, your living group, or your workgroup are coping with a traumatic event
